The JYJ concert “2011 JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN” will be held this weekend at the National Hitachi-kaihin Park in Hitashinaka, Ibaraki. But behind the scenes the activities of Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun, the three who left Tohoshinki, were met with more trouble.
As a result of the break up and contract troubles, Changmin and Yunho have activities. Their management company Avex formerly managed the three members of JYJ and the three had concerts. However Avex unilaterally announced the suspension of the activities of JYJ in Japan citing JYJ’s Korean management company’s ties to the mafia. JYJ protested this decision claiming that Avex knew about this when signing the contract. (T/N: This article misreports in that C-JeS never had mafia ties but its CEO, Mr. Baek, did have a prison record of which Avex was well aware from the very beginning.) The three resumed activities with the support of another company. However the two companies are still in dispute over the contract.

On the 15th and 16th, Korean group JYJ held their Japanese concert that experienced a flood of 80,000 fans and ended in great success.
According to their agency on the 17th, JYJ’s independent concert, titled “JYJ UNFORGETABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011″, was held once each day on the 15th and 16th at Hitachi Kaihin Park in Ibaraki, Japan.
When the ticket sale was opened in September, it already made a record for being sold out simultaneously. On the dates of the concert,it gathered a great number of not only sponsors but also standing guests, ending in great success.
Their agency also said, “On the day of the concert, there is a flood of JYJ fans riding trains to the concert, causing the trains in the neighboring area to skip and passed through some stops. There is also a rush of cars coming from various places across the country, paralyzing the traffic of the whole area since early morning.
Since their world tour in June, it has been 5 months since JYJ stood on the Japanese stage. During this concert, they introduced to fans a compilation of songs from their world tour album “The beginning” as well as songs from their first Korean album “In Heaven.”
JYJ‘s solo concert at Ibaraki Hitachi Park confirmed their fame in Japan, as they managed to garner more than 80,000 fans over two days!
Concert tickets for ‘JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011‘ sold out as soon as the tickets were available for the general public, and the server crashed due to the influx of visitors. Every seat for the solo concert was sold out, and even standing room at the venue was practically brimming over with excited fans.
On October 3rd, thousands of fans flocked to the park to see JYJ perform. It’s being reported that all parts of the country had been hit with heavy traffic, due to the amount of fans driving to the concert. An associate of the concert commented, “We were already surprised because the tickets have been sold out before, but the associates were surprised again by JYJ’s fame once again when the standing sections (which could hold a capacity of thousands) were full as well.”
JYJ had put on a spectacular show, performing songs from their first Korean album, ‘In Heaven‘, as well other hit songs from their worldwide album, ‘The Beginning‘.
They also had the crowd going wild when they performed OST songs from dramas that JYJ were affiliated with, such as “I Found You” from ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal‘, “Protect You” from ‘Protect the Boss‘, and “You Are So Beautiful” from ‘Scent of a Woman‘.
One 40-year-old fan commented, “I really like JYJ. I’m a housewife so on the day of the ticket site opening, I waited in front of the computer from morning to night waiting for the site to reboot and applied for the lottery to sit towards the front. Luckily, I was given a good seat. The JYJ members are good-looking and they have a great harmony. They are also funny, which makes them even more popular.”
Another fan, aged 45, admitted, “My daughter and wife love JYJ so inevitably, I ended up liking their music as well. The whole family left the house at 3:00 AM to watch their concert, but we couldn’t get to the front of the standing section. I’m so excited, regardless, because I got to see JYJ’s performance.”
