“Miss Ripley” Advertisement Spots Sold Out for June… Thanks to Park Yoochun!

Finished Selling the Publication Rights for Japan and the US Even Before the Drama Airs. Additional Negotiations in Place for China and Southeast Asia and Such.

The MBC Monday-Tuesday mini-series Miss Ripley has sold out the advertisement spots for June. An affiliate of the production of Miss Ripley said on the 15^th: “Even before the drama aired, the advertisement spots for the ten episodes that will be aired in June has finished selling.” Read More →

[NEWS] JYJ’s Yoochun reflects back on his grandma during recording for documentary

Though he’s still working on his MBC drama “Miss Ripley“, JYJ’s Yoochun has taken on the challenge to narrate a documentary.

On June 16th, Park Yoochun participated in the narration recording for the MBC special, “The Hometown Where I Lived” in the MBC dubbing room in Yeoido, Seoul. According to the production crew, “His harmony and pronunciation does not suffer by comparison to other stars who have done narrations.”

Yoochun revealed his thoughts saying,

“Though Seoul is my hometime, I’ve lived in the western mountains of Chungnam. My grandmother lives there, suddenly, I thought a lot about my grandmother.“

“The Hometown Where I Lived” is scheduled to broadcast on June 17th.

[TRANS] “The Hometown in which I Used to Live” is now being dubbed.. Park Yoochun who had gone to Vietnam to perform came straight from the airport. The voice is good. ^^ As for the photo for proof, he says he hasn’t washed so I can’t post.

JYJ’s Park Yoochun and actress Lee Da Hae had a photoshoot-like recording for MBC’s “Miss Ripley” under the lighthouse and by the blue sea on Jeju Island.

Yoochun plays the character ‘Yoo Hyun’, who is the likely heir to the Mondo Group ‘throne’. On the other hand, Lee Da Hae plays ‘Mi Ri’, a girl who dreams of upward mobility through her education. Inevitably, the two characters ‘coincidentally’ meet each other on Jeju Island.

Although Mi Ri is in a relationship with Myung Hoon (played by actor Kim Seung Woo), she becomes attracted to Yoo Hyun, who has a higher status and more wealth. Up until now, Mi Ri ignored Yoo Hyun, stating, “You are like a rotten rope that I can see often only in Goshiwon.” However, after finding out that he is a second generation conglomerate, she is ruffling up a new temptation.

[NEWS] JYJ’s Yuchun To Narrate For A Special MBC Documentary

JYJ’s Yoochun is lending his voice for a documentary.

According to MBC, the idol will be narrating for the documentary, ‘The Hometown I’ve Once Lived In‘. It tells the story about Korea’s small towns, which are slowly disappearing under the force of urban developments.

It specifically investigates a small country town in Kangwon-do that protested against a developing golf resort for six years; the town’s citizens tried to prevent being forced out of their homes.

The production team stated, “We chose Yoochun to be the narrator in the hopes that his soft and kind voice will touch more viewers about the painful stories we all hold about our hometowns.”

They added, “We explained the program’s special purpose and content to Yoochun’s team, and Yoochun gave a positive response [to them], thus agreeing to narrate.”

The documentary is set to air on June 17th.

On the latest episode of “Miss Ripley“, Lee Da Hae and Park Yoochun were seen wearing matching leather jackets and jeans as they set off for an exciting motorcycle date.

Although Yoochun had shown a soft image as the kind-hearted heir to a resort chain, he revealed a tough and masculine side in this scene. Lee Da Hae, who usually flaunts a feminine style as ‘Jang Mi Ri‘, also underwent a surprising image change for the scene.
