In this heavy drama about two young lovers separated by tragedy and reunited after more than a decade, Yoochun is teamed up with equally popular actress and endorsement model Yoon Eun Hye (Goong, Coffee Prince, and My Fair Lady).

One of the most popular local network in the country, ABS-CBN already released a teaser for the drama. The drama will be dubbed in Filipino. For sure, all the K-drama enthusiasts out there are excited to watch this!

[NEWS] 130408 Japanese Officials Compare ′I Miss You′ to ′Winter Sonata′

I Miss You has just started airing in Japan, but already its popularity is being compared to the Winter Sonata boom that swept the country.

A drama official recently told enews, “Reactions are so explosive that some Japanese officials have been saying I Miss You may become the next Winter Sonata.”

I Miss You is currently airing in the hallyu channel DATV, and will soon also start airing in a main channel. This is a surprising feat considering how Japan has been cutting down on Korean content on its main channels following the two countries′ political strifes.

Winter Sonata also initially aired on cable, and after gaining popularity, made it into the government-run broadcasting station NHK to cause a great boom across the country.

The official quoted a local official to have said that “if I Miss You starts airing on a main channel, it will go the way of Winter Sonata.”

“Park Yoo Chun is very popular in Japan, and Yoo Seung Ho has also been gaining popularity as the next generation hallyu star, while Yun Eun Hye is known through her role in Coffee Prince. Hallyu fans have especially been showing great interest,” the official added.

“I Miss You has even been receiving love calls from America and Europe,” the official said. “Park Yoo Chun′s popularity overseas is unimaginably great. We′re first preparing to go to America.”

I Miss You is a romance that stars Park Yoo Chun, Yun Eun Hye and Yoo Seung Ho.

EH: (5:41) Urm,I..of course I have predicted that he will be able to perform well, but right now he’s doing so much better than what I expected of him, there were many times that I found myself being surprised.

(5:52)This is the first time I’m talking about this. Whenever I look at JW, without realizing it, I found myself wanting to do all those bright things, I envy him. His energy is overflowing, he enjoys it.

(6:03) I (LSY) don’t express myself right? Since my character doesn’t express things out, always repressing things down,without realizing it I will do (gestures) I really want to do it. So when I look at JW, sometimes I feel envious, sometimes I missed my previous characters, I have those kind of thoughts.

In “I Miss You, “Yoon Eun Hye acted with two younger actors, Park Yoochun and Yoo Seung Ho.

She thought Yoochun was very awkward the first time she had encountered him, but found out how sociable he was during the filming of I Miss You. “I didn’t even get to eat with Yoochun once. I first saw him as a junior about eight to nine years ago, and he honestly seemed very awkward. However, he is very sociable by nature, so matching up with him in the drama wasn’t burdensome. As a result of those two being younger than me, I comfortably acted and put in a lot of effort. Those two are the type that act genuinely, so they became more helpful to me.”

Yoon Eun Hye stated that she was comfortable acting with two younger men. “Though there were a lot of scenes where I just cried, the atmosphere on set was really good. We were able to have fun filming because of that atmosphere, even in the cold. If I exclude the cold weather, this drama didn’t cause any difficulties compared to other dramas. There was a time my staff told me that it would be great if I didn’t show any signs of having difficulty in front of Yoochun since he suffered by running outside. (Laughs) I’m sorry to Yoochun and I like how kind he is.”

2013 has just started; the smoke from the war among major TV stations’ Spring Festival night shows has not yet vanished but the finale of the Spring Festival holiday period on the fifteenth night of the Lunar New Year, the Lantern Festival night party’s “big war” has again quietly started. There is news from Hunan Satellite TV officials that the “Lantern Festival Joy Party” will not only have CCTV famous TV host Sa Bei Ning 撒贝宁 joining as a host, but will also welcome popular Korean drama <Missing You> male and female leads, Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun Hye, in their first China show!

<Missing You> is MBC’s new drama by Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye and male group JYJ member cum actor Park Yuchun, and is a love story about the bitter first love that traumatized both male and female leads. This drama ended perfectly on 17 Jan and not only received good ratings in Korea but was also in hot pursuit by local viewers. Because of the pronunciation of the characters’ names (T/N. Soo Yeon and Jung Woo), netizens nicknamed Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun Hye as “Cured (or Salted) Fish Couple” “腌鱼夫妇” (T/N. an affectionate nickname; Yeon-Woo in Chinese “妍”-“宇” sounds a bit like ‘cured fish’). They will appear on the fifteenth night live telecast of Hunan TV “Lantern Festival Joy Party” as their very first show in China. But the details of their appearance are still confidential.

Quite recently, Hunan TV presenter Du Hai Tao tried to imitate handsome and cute Park Yuchun’s sleeping position (T/N from a scene in the drama); it triggered a series of scathing comments from netizens and he was even laughed at: “If you lost weight, then you are Park Yuchun.”

Yesterday, Yoon Eun Hye held a press conference; and today, there were numerous articles and interviews with her released.

I invited Park YooChun and Yoo SeungHo to go eat together.

In the past when my acting partner asked me to go eat together I would think “Why am I being asked to go eat together? Does he want to be misunderstood? But now suddenly I’m acting that way. (laugh) Of course with my personality I cannot be that aggressive/active either but still if we were to work on a project together we need to get friendly so I invited them to go eat together. YooChun-ssi and SeungHo-ssi are both the type that doesn’t get friendly too easily so at first the reaction was lukewarm. (laugh) I brought out my courage to approach them, so I did receive a little hurt. (laugh) But then later we got friendlier and both actors are compassionate so we could depend on each other a lot.
