T/N: Park Chan Hong writes a column for the newspaper OhMyNews.
[TRANS] So JYJ’s appearance on KBS special program was suddenly cancelled. Even in the situation of plane tickets having been procured, it was said that “if KBS allow JYJ to appear, this whole event could become impossible to hold.” They were under this kind of pressure. In this case, congressional hearings should be convened.
[TRANS] It is extremely sad that JYJ, who deny the tyranny of gigantic management companies and the slave contract and is also fulfilling their musical vision, must suffer. As for suddenly cancelling this Jeju performance, KBS must apologize and disclose the truth of the force behind the scenes.
[TRANS] My wife also became a fan of Yoochun who appeared in Sungkyunkwan Scandal and she was also flabbergasted at the news of JYJ’s cancellation of performance. The dark forces that pressured KBS is problematic of course, but she is angrier at the fact that KBS, a public/government broadcast station, has acted so irresponsibly.

A+ MISTER Park Chan Hong!!
Seemingly this disgusting news is now slowly affecting the South Koreans, i pray for more proactive action to this, I’m hoping for a happy ending for our dear JYJ…
Please this man is right somebody must stop all of this
Korea image is getting awful
JYJ Fighting!!!
this so much, esp Korea’s image.
i’m sure, most korean citizens are disgusted of KBS and big management companies, I am an American citizen and I am very disappointed with the way SK presents themselves. *_* no country is perfect but this is just a harassment for my poor heart
i cant take this anymore
😦
just this whole situation
wasurenaide the most
Where are those international organizations who appointed JYJ as their ambassadors??? Like KEPCO etc? Can they lobby for their ambassadors? Does this happen in SK? In the Philippines, we have “people power” and “civil disobedience” as non-violent means to protest injustices…how do South Koreans deal with these?
apparently they get tear gassed (hanjin)
Exactly. SAD.
Power of SMent IS SUCK!
sm sooooooo childish…!!!!
can i have litte hope and JYJ have litte light for this day?????
I hope JYJ fans in korea will mount major boycott of event, and highlight the blatant injustice that has occurred here.
Exactly.
why the event becomes impossible to hold if JYJ attend? are they terrorist? oh come on they just come to sing two songs and moreover they’re the ambassador. stop throwing shit to my dearly men
One of my friend said: Dude, Sm hasn’t said anything.. why people keep blaming SM for JYJ misfortunate?
I feel like slapping her…
So instead of doing such a barbaric act (although it’s sooo very hard to do so), I said: Are you stupid? Is there any thieves in this world who would confess that he’s stealing? I know you’re not the brightest… but I never know you’re this idiotic…
100% agree with u…
What is really sad about this situation is that the powers that be just don’t get it. The image of your country comes from your actions. No country is perfect. But what So. Korea is showing to the rest of the world, defies comprehension. When your young are able to be victimized like this, what does this say about your ability to convene with the leading countries of the world and help solve similar problems. At best you could only be a bystander, at worst, a hypocrite.
The Secretary General of the United Nations is a South Korean. Sir, you are in charge of leading the world body against abuse toward citizens in your member states. How is it your native land does this to it’s own? The international community is appalled. Obviously, your government and its laws are not strong enough to protect its people.
i was thinking since this morning……maybe some of the Korean government officers & politicians are in the same social circle as the sme people… urgh so disgusted…… no wonder they can’t or don’t want to do anything about the jeju event…… they just want to rake the popularity & benefits from JYJ to promote jeju……what a bad attitude…..such ashamed
WELL SAID MR PARK!
SM AND KBS, SHAME ON U!!!
U PEOPLE ARE A DISGRACE TO THE COMMUNITY OF KOREA!!!
KBS’s controlling by who? U,me, we allready know.
JYJ please don’t get hurt
SM behind all these..wtf —> what the fish!!!!!!
“a public/government broadcast station, has acted so irresponsibly”
EXACTLY!!! Who runs South Korea again? oic entertainment companies apparently. The government should be NEUTRAL to this whole thing GDI, not taking sides and being affected by outside pressure, like SM. Sure, people will argue that its all business, that SM has hugely popular groups that they can block from coming on their shows. BUT, the point is, is that this type of bribery/bullying should simply be out of the question when dealing with government owned companies,SM shouldn’t even be allowed to put this kind of pressure in the first place. I am ashamed of you right now SK, your image is not looking good right now smh.
