26th August JYJ has been appointed as UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for the Asia and Pacific region at The 10th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP10) which was held at BEXCO.
In this event attended by 4000 people from 70 countries, Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun said, “As AIDS is a big international issue, we’ll try our best so that our activities can help for the prevention of HIV infection.”
Kim Junsu also added, “AIDS is a fatal disease but if you receive steady treatment, you can still live for long time.” “However, since there is no perfect treatment, concern and effort are needed.”

Woot Woot
;D
That is the JYJ effect
yep ! 😀
Exactly the same I was thinking; the JYJ effect. JYJ has no equal.
“Baek Changju, representative of C-Jes Entertainment said, “The potential of JYJ who had worldwide showcases and concerts has no break. Love calls requesting JYJ’s presence in such international events are unceasing.”
Yes, Mr. Baek, that is the understatement of the year! When people want quality, they now where to come and get it. One other ‘minor’ comment…Usually folks will remember the closing ceremony better than they will the opening one. Lionel Ritchie’s closing of the LA Olympics back in the 80s, still stands out as one of the most impressive.
@BAF
Hi, How are you after T.S. Irene? Glad to have you here again 🙂
I’m doing fine. Where I live, my section of the city didn’t have any major problems. The biggest issues for folks in our outer suburbs – flooding and loss of electricity. This storm proved to be a very large one, but luckily weakened as she moved along. We simply have had way too much rain this month and ground saturation is the issue. Some areas did have fallen trees because of this.
We are now in the middle of our hurricane season. It lasts until November. So, we’ll see what happens. Those of us on the East Coast thank everyone for their concern and kind thoughts.
So happy to see you’re allright after Irene.
Why isn’t any of these extremely good news of JYJ covered by allkpop yet >.>
because it’s good news allkpop is slow …. if it was something bad they would be the first to post it .
You know what, don’t just praise them on news, put JYJ on public television, Goddamn it! If you love the Hallyu wave that much, you should have known by now how JYJ is beyond capable of leading such wave to reach the international community. >”< Anyway, I'm a PROUD fan of JYJ, as always! \(^0^)/ IAAF World Championships Daegu is an international event, so even if KBS won't air the closing ceremony, I believe other TV stations will.
Is that even a surprise?
We know how much the others admire JYJ, just that they don’t wanna admit it. 😛
love JYJ more and more every day!!! >__< ❤ ❤ ❤
Jae

Su

Only single word could express my feeling to JYJ ..it is called ‘PROUD’
OMG can’t wait to watch it
i’m so happy that there are so many good news day by day from our boys

woowwww…. they are really fly to the sky… no one can stop their ‘popularity’ now….!!!!! hahahahaha
Dancing and celebrating!!!
Anyone can figure out how to watch this? Their website doesn’t seem to show anything. But if 6.5 billion people are watching it, we should be able to, right? It should be next Sunday, Korean time zone, right?
I don’t know where do you live but in Europe Eurosport covers it every day and live at that. So I hope they will broadcast the ending ceremony, too.
YESSS YESSSS Eurosport Eurosport Eurosport I never see this channel, but on Sunday I took off the tv
I am very very very proud of my boys
PROUD. This is the only word that I can think right now, like all of you.
I am SO going to be in front of my TV sunday ❤
But, we don't know the Korean time of the ceremony yet, right ?
I´m from Peru Sudamerica, and I´m watching Daegu2011 on tv (local Tv) so… I barely can wait the closing event! I will watch JYJ on Tv! Please, please! *praying*
lucky…..
*smirk*
See SM darling? This is what you get from blocking JYJ…
Yes, some Korean might know SNSD, Suju, or TVXQ better than JYJ… You let them swallow bitter feelings when each programme cancelling their scheduled appearance…
If you wish they’ll end up crawling back to you asking for forgiveness… Think again…
A Hot Shot company with strong marketing strategy is needed to promote a star…
However, you miscalculate darling… Becoz at the end, one thing that determine one’s success is THE FANS… 🙂
I am one proud fan 🙂
I agree. A hot shot company SM is not however. They are just annoyingly big.
They don’t really strategize cause their “strategy” is shove, shove, shove in people’s faces non-stop. You have to promote your artists but not like that. Incessant and aggressive promotions won’t win anyone over in the long run. Buying them “honors” and shoving them where they should not be (SNSD at Japan’s Summer Sonic…..a rock festival……with RHCP…..yeah) is not enviable.
Yay ! I’m a PROUD FAN!
“It’s a prestigious international event that about 6.5 billion people around the world will watch on TV.”
….isn’t that the entire human population or almost all of it? Is this number correct?
its cumulative numbers for the entire run i think
OH! Thanks for the clear up!
So proud with you JYJ and i can’t wait to see the closing this event on TV !!!
isn’t it ironic that a JYJ fan like me cant watch them on local Korean TV but will watch them on my local channel? Daegu2011 is also live here in our country and it is not thru KBS.. kbs can prevnt JYJ but the rest of the world will still see them. JYJ is a treasure Korea will not be able to hide any longer.ü
local channel ba o sa cable?
I’m so happy for them and so so proud! JYJ fighting!!
I AM SOOOO PROUD OF OUR BELOVED JYJ!!! ❤❤❤ The more they’re blocked, the more ppl demand to see them!!! ❤❤❤
SME is totally evil!! Now they’re even sabotaging Avex’s ppl, just cuz Juno is Junsu’s bro!! sad state of affairs, donchu think? ^_~
❤❤❤ JYJ FIGHTING!!! ❤❤❤ JYJ FAMILY FIGHTING!!! ❤❤❤

This is the official site of IIAF World Championship, that states “Post-Event Segment: Performances by Top K-Pop Artists”. We know only 3, and they are all the same band: JYJ
One of the TV channels out here are showing highlights of the IAAF Championships, but I don’t think they’re going to show the closing ceremony….I’m so bummed about that. For a few minutes there I was soooooo excited – JYJ on TV in Australia!!! I sent an email to the channel asking them to show the closing ceremony, but it’s a somewhat forlorn hope that they will. 😦
I hope Eurosport will show me my beautiful and brave boys…
*crossing fingers*
So please no more canceling of this closing performance or else it would a great SHAME to Korea again.
Though I’m sad that JYJ can’t perform in Japan, but if it will give them more time to perform internationally, then I’ll say, Japan can wait, let JYJ be known and loved to the whole world first, strike while the iron is hot!
Nice! But 6.5 Billion viewers? Perhaps, they meant to say million? LOL
LOL! I didn’t notice.
As usual Koreans are too pride of themselves! Or is it inferiority complex? On all occasions they exaggerate their importance in the eyes of the world.
OK OK we get it. It’s an important event, so important that even E.T. & friends tune in on our satellites.
i thought it was going to broadcast worldwide … no no ? well i.m still watching nbc on the 3rd just to get a glimpse of JYJ if i.m lucky haha …
Yeah! So happy for and proud of JYJ! Not only are they performing, but it’s going to be internationally aired??!!!
I love the description “explosion of love calls” ^___^, its great they are getting more and more global recognition.
JYJ = the platinum standard!
I love you guys so so much. Way too much.
