JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong recently talked how he feels about being an honorary ambassador for a state function.
On February 20, JYJ attended an appointment ceremony, which was held at Lotte Hotel in Seoul for the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games.’
At the ceremony, Kim said, “I think we should satisfy and enrich the public with music. We are honored and thankful to have this great chance to promote the event to the public.”
“Since we perform abroad a lot, we can promote Korean culture and I think that makes us to grow.”
Kim added that he enjoys watching table tennis and badminton during the Asian Games.
He also talked about how he feels about being an honorary ambassador, “We’re honored to join this important and historical event. We’ll do our best to promote K-pop and the event.”
JYJ is recognized as a powerful Hallyu star and earned a nickname as a singer specialized in state functions. The group will also attend ‘The 18th Inaugural Ceremony,’ which will be held on February 25. The group was an honorary ambassador for the ’2012 Nuclear Security Summit,’ ‘Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo,’ and ‘New 7 Wonders of Nature in Jeju.’
JYJ will participate in making music videos and songs for Asian Games and they will also join the Road Show, which will be held in October and November in Vietnam and China.

Korean idol group JYJ was appointed as honorary ambassadors for the ‘2014 Incheon Asian Games’ on the morning of February 20th in a simple ceremony at Seoul’s Lotte Hotel.
The Asian Games Committee expressed, “To raise awareness and the profile of the Asian Games in all of Asia, we have decide to enlist JYJ to be our honorary ambassadors for the ‘2014 Incheon Asian Game’ because of the huge popularity that they enjoy in Asia and the world.”
JYJ said, “It is our honour to be appointed as the honorary ambassadors for the ‘Incheon Asian Games’ which is a national-level event. We will do our very best to actively promote the ‘Incheon Asian Games’ and the city of Incheon to our fans in Korea and the world.”
Meanwhile, JYJ is slated to perform at the pre-inauguration concert event of the 18th South Korean Presidential Inauguration Ceremony on February 25th. JYJ will be performing a medley of hit songs from the 90s like ‘I Know’, and others, plus the inspiring song ‘Oh! Pilseung Korea’.
