The character posters of movie ‘Sea Fog’ have been released, attracting much attention.
<Sea Fog> is a thriller movie about 6 crewmen who go sailing in the hopes of returning with a full load of fish. They get involved in an uncontrollable event as they take on stowaways.
Director Shim Sung-bo said, “When the sea fog comes toward and everything gets blurry, the characters show who they are and express their desires. I focused on the part the most.” Producer Bong Joon-ho said, “The actors make <Sea Fog> more interesting. The actors are all great but they also show greater teamwork. You cannot feel how long you have been watching the movie by only looking at the faces of the characters,” raising expectations for the characters in the movie.
The movie will be released on August 13.
The curtain rose for the musical “Dracula” on July 15. Among the cast, Kim Jun-su, a musical actor and a member of the idol group JYJ, is gaining the most attention.
A local news report suggested three main reasons why Kim Jun-su’s version of “Dracula” is the most eagerly awaited.
1. Dark atmosphere
Kim Jun-su already has experience in showing a character’s dark atmosphere through the musical “Elizabeth.” Kim also succeeded in expressing the complicated character of Dracula, who expresses both dark cruelty and innocent love toward Mina.
JYJ’s Park Yuchun expressed his gratitude to his fans.
Japanese magazine ‘Josei Jishin’ reported on the 17th “On the 9th, JYJ’s Park Yuchun held his first solo event in Yokohama Arena in Japan. To promote his leading drama , he sang and shared different stories.”
According to ‘Josei Jishin’, the MC of the event Furuya Masayuki said “In the opening, fans held a surprise event where they coloured the venue in yellow (with their penlights and so on). Park Yuchun was extremely moved.”
‘Josei Jishin’ wrote “The event ended 30 minutes later than planned. Park Yuchun and his staffs moved to a restaurant located in Akasaka in Tokyo and enjoyed an after-party. It was said that Park Yuchun ardently talked about his feelings on the event, not being able to hide his excitement.
‘Josei Jishin’ shared Park Yuchun’s feelings at that time with the interview of a representative of the restaurant. According to the representative of the restaurant, Park Yuchun gladly said in a shaking voice “I didn’t think fans would welcome me like this. They supported me so earnestly that I nearly teared up.”
Note: Frank Wildhorn composed the score to the original ‘Dracula’ (the one on Broadway);
and his score is being used for the Korean version of ‘Dracula’ too

What is the advantage of going out for drinks with seniors?
YC: Rather, it feels like we have many useless conversations. (laughs) But it feels very good. Those useless conversations were about life. At first because I was tensed, I said “I am going outside to smoke” but was scolded and told, “Just smoke here.” They told me that it’s an etiquette for me to smoke together. Until then, there were many things which I could not do. It seemed like even after turning 50, I would have to smoke in hiding. Later on, we really smoked together just like that. Although we are not able to contact each other often, it feels very good each time we meet up.
