This is the golden age of celebrity designers. Unlike brands that have appointed famous celebrities or stars as the simple advertisement model in the past, lately the case where celebrities who’re whether launching their personal brand or participating in the design of special edition items –to present to customers–, are increasing.
From November 21 to November 27, the design specialty job portal ‘designer JOB’(www.designerjob.co.kr) conducted a survey, with its topic being ‘What star do you expect to be the most active of celebrity designers?’, aimed at 413 members for a total of 7 days; and disclosed the results on November 28.
In 2nd place, JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong(18.8%), who participates as brand MOLDIR’s bag designer, had occupied the ranking.
The assessments from respondents were mixed between positive and negative toward the views looking at celebrities who are active as designers. According to the survey, the opinion on a ‘star’s marketing power’ accounted for more than half, with 64.8%.
