I enjoy this episode, the message is : The end doesn’t justify the means. So girls out there never do a Jinsook trick.😜
That’s what we call Karma. Loving is not only about what you feel but the feeling of the other person. don’t force it or else you’ll just get hurt at the end. I’m happy the writer didn’t give in to the hype, form over substance ( it doesn’t have to make sense as long as it’s visually appealing) 👍👍 #Manhole is unique, you have just to connect the dots every episode, read the sub_title carefully 😀 and enjoy the ride.
Sorry Bong Pil that’s not a face of man getting married 🤣
Hope like many dramas, it will jump 5 years after and we can see a successful Bong Pil (a prosecutor maybe, or a businessman), that he can afford a wedding like this, not from the bride’s wallet, but from his own 🤗
Well said. Jinsuk is too selfish. She should be the one who knows well how much Bon Pil loves Sujin. Both Bon Pil and Sujin have trusted her as the best friend, as the one who could tell secrets, yet she have betrayed both of them. I don’t think Bon Pil will give up Sujin. I hope they will have a happy ending! Bon Pil fighting !
Can they bring Bongpil a total new girl to end up with ? That’s the only solution I see. Bongpil felt pathetic marrying Jinsook without love after the very noble Sujin dumped him again after getting his letters and asked him to not “break her friend heart”, well I hope she was happy making someone who loves her to death marry someone he doesn’t love, I hope while taking pics of their lifeless wedding satisfied her noble feelings, cuz breaking BP’s heart for nothing is the only thing she masters. The worst thing in life is to have a crash on a stone who doesn’t value your feelings toward her/him.
Pil sounds stupid without plans without future which makes his love for SJ uncomfortable, but as a human I liked his honesty, his sincere love and his loyality he might not be the strong, smart, rich hero that every girl would dream of and but he is that kind of “pabo of his love” that is hard to find anymore..I think this weakness of him is what made JJ fall for him, his bad luck is being attracted to someone who doesn’t value his feelings.
Totally agree with your description of Bon Pil’s character and strength and weaknesses. Actually he is exactly the type of man that I would look for, haha!
Jaejoong’s acting is really daebak. How could he master the role of Bon Pil so well within short period of time. This is a very difficult role to act. Bon Pil’s character is evolving through episode 1-10. Actually Jaejoong has played at least 5-6 versions of Bon Pil at different stages already. Yet he gives life to each of them so successful. Even Kim Soohyun or Lee Minho, those who are considered as national actors by SK people, may not be able to give life to “Bon Pil” as good as Jaejoong has done!
I totally agree with you, Jaejoong showed more of his brilliant acting capacities in this role, the character is complicated far from JJ’s real personality but JJ pulled off the role so naturally and became 100% Bongpil, I also noticed how everybody who watches Manhole praises Jaejoong’s acting he did great job and that’s what matters the most for an actor (the story, the script the plot the other cast acting isn’t his fault at all) BongPil is definitely one of the roles who confirmed Jaejoong’s identity as an actor.
Thank you Manhole, I’ve been giggling since last night, (thanks to Mitsumani for capturing this precious moment, Jaejoong’s acting is so on point!) #TimetoLaugh 🤣🤣🤣
What happen Pil, is it still there? isn’t it broken? 🤣
I don’t know, there are several acting awards and I think each award giving body has its own criteria.
Let’s wait and see, while we enjoy and support Jaejoong’s hard work.
Who will be the lucky bride? 😍🤗 of Kim Jaejoong, (Bong Pil has no work yet 😀)
Poor Bong Pil. He has no clue how to put on the bow tie. Hmmm, it’s an easy matter for Soo Jin. How does she know? She has no brothers. They are of the same class being neighbours, their dads don’t wear tuxedos. Could it be she has helped Church boy and Pharmacist do precisely the same thing? Sorry, SooJin-ah, I am just curious.
Jaejoong’s acting is really gorgeous. My emotion was brought to follow those of Bon Pil all through episode 1-10. The storyline is good and actors’ acting and interactions are good. I just don’t understand how come the audience rate could be that low. South Korean audience is really strange to understand. I hope there will be some kind of award to be judged by professional people in the drama field.
Good thing is there are people (drama fans) who don’t pay attention to rating and give Manhole a try and they enjoy it. The storytelling is somehow complicated and messy because of it’s gong back and forth, but every episode offers something fresh and all the actors are giving justice to their roles. This drama may have low rating is SK but I believe it will open a lot of doors for Jaejoong. 🙏
One thing I love about #Manhole drama is it’s giving away a lot of metaphors and life lessons. About high school life, adolescents, admiration, crushes, puppy love, love, obsession, letting, priorities and letting go.I can still clearly remember our guidance counselor in our homeroom class repeatedly reminding us to not take high school puppy love so seriously and if in the end you really fall in love, never throw your pride, your brain, your dreams, and your life.
And I think the writer in dramabeans has some real life experiences, not just from fairy tale romantic novels 😜 : “Long-lasting relationships are all about learning to grow and change with one another .” (take note single ladies 🤣, well if the man is as handsome as Jaejoong, I think a lot are willing to be a caregiver even if he’s a Bong Pil and they will call it uncondtional
love 😭 )
Thanks for sharing the tweet.
I also don’t understand why people said the script of Manhole is bad, which is probably one of the reasons for the low audience rate in SK.
In my view, the script is not bad at all, it does have some message to convey. I enjoyed and like each and every episode, except episode 3.
I’ve watched a lot of dramas regardless of that rating thing, and all dramas have their own flaws, I just focus on the good side, if it’s really bad then goodbye, why stay pressed for just a drama🙁. So far for Manhole, it’s not only JJ that’s holding me, the other casts as well and the script. Oh, I’m touched by Seoktae character in the latest episode.
And that rating thing in SK, the more I read about it, the more I understand why recently advertisers and broadcasters are not using that as their main indicator for dramas assessment.. And we can no longer expect the rating of Manhole to rise significantly even if it gets better since basically the same 2050 household panels are used throughout the drama duration.
TV rating = 2050 household panels -> up to 25% of panel households are replaced each year, unfortunately this figure is widely used in media play which influence public opinion of those who don’t know how it’s obtained. http://www.agbnielsen.net/whereweare/dynPage.asp?hash=c466af94d4b5dab114f298591ae155a5&crypt=N%B6%9D%A6%AC%92%AA%9A%AC%BE%8C%99%A0O%90%BE%9D%92m%84y%B5%BC%C4%CE%D4%C0%D5%93%8D%9D%C9%B9%A0%84xX%92%97%96%AA%BEI%AC%98%BC%99%A3%A3%7D%5D%5B%CE%C4%92%CF%BB%C4%CFe%AF%CD …
U know what, im just watching the new drama replaced school17, its kinda boringgg!! I changed my channel after 10 mnt, atleast i give it a try.the rating is 4,1st episode. But why sk doesnt realy want to give a chance for manhole atleast the 1st episode. They gave up too early.for me it just an excused saying that the plot and storyline are bad..

“I hope they will have a happy ending!”
Yes, thank you, I feel like I’m alone on this wish. 👍😀
Love it ep 9&10 ❤
I’m so excited for Ep11. Hope Pil was absorbing SooJin’s words, those were for his own good as a person regardless who will he end with.

Pil eventually got a decent job, in episode 11. Congratulations Bon Pil!
Yes, I saw some spoilers, at last our hero will have a decent job! 👍😀 Going back to episode 1, he said he wants to be a cop.

OMGosh Jaejoong looks so good in suits!
👍I think no one can disagree with you. 😀

Jaejoong ‘s acting is super for a singer,,better than some real actors.
