Kim Jaejoong’s agency CJeS Entertainment announced on April 5, “Kim Jaejoong donated 20 million won for the recovery of a thai fan who is in coma”. A CJeS representative added “Kim Jaejoong came back to Korea on Sunday after he finished his Taiwan Concert. Upon hearing the story of a thai fan’s dire situation, Kim Jaejoong went to visit her at the hospital the next day he returned from Asia Tour. He found out that the family was facing financial difficulties due to the hospital fee and donated to help out on the spot”.
This fan collapsed in a club located near Hongik University after experiencing a heart failure on March 24. Emergency crew performed CPR on her to revive her but still unconscious, reportedly.
The representative continued “Kim Jaejoong didn’t even tell the agency exactly how much he donated. He just said a little to help. We later confirmed that he donated 20 million won for her recovery”.
The fan’s parents shared Kim Jaejoong’s story to the Thai media and the thai media also reported this fact.
Men’s and women’s total fashion brand MOLDIR revealed that they donated to orphanages in the full amount of their sales profits from the charity bazaar with volunteering service organization AMIS; conducted at BENACO in Sinsa-dong, Seoul last October 26 .
In participation with MOLDIR and as an event planned for those wanting to give hope and help for the children who are leading difficult lives; AMIS charity bazaar had SNL Korea crew member & singer Jay Park, Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha, actress Clara with actor Kwon Hyeok-soo, Jewelry’s Ha Jooyeon and others in attendance and gracing the occasion.
At the bazaar on this day, BENACO, WAXX, Essence of Argan Oil with MOLDIR participated while the auction of items donated by Kim Jaejoong, Shin Min-a, Jo Jung-suk, Ji Chang-wook, Soyou, Kim Jyung-jun, the SNL Korea crew and other celebrities; and [the auction of] soccer shoes of national soccer players Lee Keun-ho, Kim Seung-gyu, Kim Jin-su, Jung Jo-gook, Oh Beom-seok, Yeom Ki-hun, Kim Kun-hoan, Park Hyun-beom, Lim Sang-hyub and other sports stars proceeded along.
In particular, active as a brand art director for MOLDIR at the auction, actor-cum-singer JYJ member Kim Jaejoong’s prized possession received hot attention, of the donations gathered at the location.
An official for MOLDIR explained the intention [of the auction]: “We wish to provide aid, even if it’s a little bit, for needy children through this opportunity and thanks to everyone who paid us a visit early despite the chilly weather.”

The nation’s largest goodwill festival ‘2014 Charity Flea Market’ will proceed simultaneously in Seoul, Busan, and Daejeon on October 19. The participation of celebrities two days before the event will run to its final stage. Celebrities’ donations can be brought through a special sales with an auction on the day of the Charity Flea Market event.
The event continues even with the parade of the entertainment world’s popular stars and cultural celebrities’ goodwill. Having swept Asia, singers Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu of JYJ put up the T-shirts they wore on the encore stage of their 8-city Asian tour concerts. It seems like the competition will be hot among fans to possess a clothing containing the sweat and toil of a star.
Wanting to help out the Sewol rescue mission in some way, the production company for SBS’ Three Days joined in making donations.
It became known that Three Days’ production company, Golden Thumb Pictures donated 30 million won to the Korean Salvation Army on April 21. The company asked for the 30 million won to be used for the rescue operations of the Sewol tragedy.
Speaking with Newsen on April 22, the company rep said, “The donation was meant to be kept quiet. We didn’t think it would be right for our donation to be publicized during such a grave period in our country.”
“But it became known, and since it did, we hope that the donation culture grows bigger,” said Golden Thumb Pictures.
Taking everything they earned from an auction, the JYJ members donated 50 million won to various facilities.
On March 3, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “In June, JYJ held the 2013 JYJ Membership Week, were 13 art pieces from the JYJ gallery were auctioned off. A total of 50 million won were earned during the auction and were donated to different welfare facilities as necessary goods.”
The facilities included institutions for children, the disabled, and the elderly.
“The JYJ Gallery was something that was created so we can have special memories with the fans. We’re glad that the artwork that we created went to the fans and the proceeds to those who need them most,” said JYJ. “With the auction proceeds and additional funds gathered up by the company staff, were able to donate needed goods and begin the year with a happy start.”
